After much thought and deliberation, I have made the decision to close up the shop at the end of October. For those of you who remember back that far, Carl Spessard Jr. started the shop as a retirement project in 1988. You may have received a copy of one of his black-and-white mail-order catalogs, or listened to the tales he would tell once he had your ear, or the stacks and stacks of imported tambourines that took nearly 20 years to sell off! In August of 1996, I walked through the doors as a 19-year-old who was just a regular customer and he offered me a part-time job. Within a few months, I was covering the shop solo and I have been running Drums on SALE for the Spessard family ever since.

For dozens of various reasons, I am ready to move on to other endeavors -- mainly renovating my 140-year-old home and spending time with my one grown & three growing children.

A few of you have been loyal customers from the very beginning, while many of you have joined us along the way, and some of you are brand new to the Drums on SALE family. It truly has been a pleasure to serve all of you for nearly three decades.

The last day the shop will be open is Friday, October 27th. I will also be attending the PA Drum Show in Lancaster, PA on November 19th with any remaining inventory. Many products have already been discounted on the website, with further discounts and sales to come. There will be many updates, additions, and changes on the website over the coming weeks so check back often!

Updated Return Policy

All orders placed on or after September 1, 2023 will be as is and final. Returns or refunds will not be accepted for any on any product sold, with the only exceptions being for lost or damaged shipments and/or products that have been shipped incorrectly.

All orders placed prior to September 1, 2023 will be eligible for return and/or refund through September 30, 2023. After that date no returns will be accepted.

Store Credit & Gift Cards

All store credit and gift cards will remain active and available for use online and in the shop until 10/27/23. Refunds will be available to customers that we can locate and confirm.

Pending Special Orders & Backorders

All pending special orders and back-ordered items will remain active whenever possible. The majority of special orders that are currently active should ship before the end of this year. I am currently checking on the status of all other backorders and will contact those customers directly when I have better information.
