This auction is for a vintage Ludwig & Ludwig 4" x 15" Concert Dance model snare drum with the vintage 2pc brass shell. The drum and hardware are nickel plated and the majority of equipment on the drum is original. We just put new heads on the drum and it sounds fantastic - sensitive due to the shallow depth but with a deep throaty crack that you can only get out of a 15" drum. Includes a black fiber case.

Details

  • New Remo Ambassador heads have been installed on the drum.
  • Vintage 16 strand snare wires are installed on the drum but they do not appear to be original to the drum.
  • 5 of the tension rods and rim clips are modern chrome plated versions.
  • All other parts on the drum appear to be original and in good working order.
  • There is pitting and scuffs around the drum common to drums of this age, but there are no large dents or scratches in the shell.
