Rogers 1980 XP8 8pc Double Bass Shell Pack - Blue Mist Wrap

This kit is the same setup as used on the original Rogers XP-8 catalog! This appears to be an Ultra Power Eight setup with an additional 18" floor tom (minus the snare drum.)

New Clear Pinstripe batter and clear Diplomat & CS resonant heads on all toms.
New CS Black Dot heads & clear Ambassador heads on bass drums
New Ludwig maple hoops on bass drums

This is a project kit that has been sitting around the shop for a long time now, but I finally took some time to pull it all together. I have stripped the kit down and cleaned all the lugs and shells. There is some cracking in the plastic wrap, but everything is solid and intact. A few stripped lugs were replaced with older versions that I had on hand. Some minor pitting on the lugs and claws, and some of the hoops have major chrome flaking. Not all the hoops are original (at least 1 of the 14" and 1 of the 15" hoops) as well as a few modern tension rods in the mix. The front bass hoops were missing and the batter hoops were severely damaged, so all the bass hoops have been replaced with modern Ludwig maple hoops with a white inlay. The missing claws and T-rods were also added from vintage ones I had in stock and may be older than what was originally included on this series. The rubber feet on the spurs have been replaced as well. The lack of a serial number on the badges indicates that this is a 1980 kit. 

Really, this is a good looking and sounding kit and the fact that all the drums have stayed together for all these years is a bonus!
