Slingerland '00s 14" x 5" Maple & Kapur Snare Drum

This is an interesting Slingerland snare drum from the early 2000s. It is a maple & luan (kapur) shell decked out with standard Slingerland hardware from the era as well as some very nice die-cast hoops. The hoops are the heavy version with the extended drop-gat, which are hard to find. The drum was "rebuilt" by Wilson Custom Drum Builders in 2018; I'm not exactly sure what was done to the drum, but the bearing edges were likely cleaned up and a '90s TN "Cloud" badge was added to the drum (even though the drum was not built in the USA.)
Overall this is a great-looking and sounding drum. The ply layup creates a sound reminiscent of a classic Gretsch snare, but with a bit more presence and projection.
