Handcrafted by master craftsmen, the Elite Series utilizes the finest materials and techniques that have been handed down for generations. All Elite congas feature Pearl's Contour Crown rims that offer a radical sloping edge that practically disappears under your hands for a level of comfort you have to experience to believe. Tremendous pressure is applied to conga heads and Pearl's exclusive Self-Aligning Washer System (S.A.W.S.) isolates the tension hooks from the inner walls of the lugs making Elite congas easier to tune.
